Scott Alexander has a blog post up titled "Whither Tartaria?" wherein he discusses why we have had the so-called Modernist turn in art. In other words, why does modern art suck? Scott is a super smart guy, but I think he misses on this one. This is a topic that has been of interest to me for years. Here is my explanation.
